2016 Proposed Property Tax Levy

The Sanitary District of Decatur’s 2016 proposed property tax levy is $3,872,469 with $1,402,000 of the total being the aggregate levy and $2,470,469 restricted to debt service payments. This is an increase of $313,692 with $247,388 designated for debt service payments and $66,000 for pension expenses. The increase is projected to cost a resident with a $77,500 home an additional $4.39 per year on their tax bill.
