Sanitary District Improvements near Kiwanis Park

DECATUR-    The Decatur Sanitary District is making improvements to the area south of the bike path where Forest Ave enters Kiwanis Park.

A recent inspection of this area revealed evidence of trespassing and vandalism. The vandalism consisted of offensive and derogatory graffiti and damage to district property. The graffiti was removed immediately and the damage is being repaired. Since the initial removal, graffiti has been reapplied several times. The District is repainting the area when we become aware of new graffiti. The District has also removed overgrown brush in the area to improve sight lines for security cameras.
