Notice of Availability of the Sanitary District of Decatur Audit

The Sanitary District of Decatur hereby provides public notice that an audit of its funds for the period May 1, 2012 through April 30, 2013 has been made by the accounting firm of CliftonLarsonAllen. The full report of the audit is available for public inspection at 501 Dipper Lane, Decatur IL 62522 during regular business hours 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday except for holidays and is available here. The Annual Treasurer's Report is available here

Important Message about Summer Use Discount

For many years Sanitary District of Decatur sewer customers in the City of Decatur have automatically received a summer adjustment discount if they use more water during the summer billing period than they used for the average of the two previous bills. This adjustment was provided to account for outdoor water use that is not discharged into the sewer system.

Sanitary District of Decatur

The Sanitary District of Decatur is the regional wastewater treatment authority for central Macon County providing wastewater treatment services to the residents of the City of Decatur, Village of Forsyth, Village of Mt. Zion, and for industrial and commercial users in the Decatur metropolitan area. The Sanitary District of Decatur was formed in 1917 and the original treatment facility was completed in 1924.
