Public Act 097-0609 Compliance

Public Act 097-0609 requires that, at least six days before an employer participating in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund approves an employee’s total compensation package that is equal to or in excess of $150,000 per year; the employer must post the total compensation package for that employee. Public Act 097-0609 also requires that the total compensation package be posted not more than six business days after the budget is approved for employees making more than $75,000 in total compensation. The information may be posted on the employer’s website or at the principal office of the employer. For purposes of the Act, total compensation package means payment by the employer to the employee for salary, health insurance, a housing allowance, a vehicle allowance, a clothing allowance, bonuses, loans, vacation days granted, and sick days granted. The Sanitary District of Decatur voted on and approved the total compensation package for all employees on June 21, 2017. The required information for employees with a total compensation package in excess of $150,000 was posted on June 13, 2017 and for all other employees the information was posted on June 23,2017 at the District's main office located at 501 Dipper Lane, Decatur, IL 62521 and may be viewed from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM M-F.  

 
In addition the total compensation package for each employee having a total compensation package that exceeds $75,000 per year must be posted within 6 business days after an employer participating in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund approves a budget. This additional information will be posted on or before June 28, 2017 at the same location listed above.
