The Sanitary District of Decatur’s Administration Team is a group of dedicated individuals who form the backbone of managing the business of operating the District.
The Administration Staff supports the District in the following ways:

Setting New Horizons: HR plans specialized trainings for team cohesion, while finance aims to upgrade ER software for increased efficiency and employee self-service options.
Kent D. Newton, CPFO
Mr. Newton was promoted to the Executive Director position in 2016, prior to this instatement he was the Director of Finance since 2009.
His positions prior to the District included Superintendent of Business Operations for the Park District of Oak Park, 2000 to 2009; Superintendent of Finance for the Morton Grove Park District, 1998 to 2000; and Finance Coordinator for the Park Ridge Recreation and Park District, 1995 to 1998.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Purdue University, and obtained his certified public finance officer designation from the Government Finance Office Association in 2014. He also received a certificate for municipal engineering fundamentals for non-engineers from the University of Wisconsin in 2015.
