Prescribed Burn Notice – Monday, May 23

On Monday, March 23, the Macon County Conservation District will be conducting a prescribed burn on the Prairie. Prescribed burns are a safe and carefully managed conservation practice used to maintain and restore native prairie ecosystems. Residents in the surrounding area may notice smoke; please be assured that the burn will be fully contained and monitored by trained personnel.
