SDD Eastside Interceptor Rehabilitation Public Notice of Notice of Intent to Issue a Categorical Exclusion by the IEPA
The Sanitary District of Decatur will be performing work on the eastside interceptor, in which a portion of the project will be covered by the Pollution Control State Revolving Loan Program. The Procedures for issuing loans from the Water Pollution Control Loan Program requires Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) to publish a Notice of Categorical Exclusion for the proposed wastewater project which has little, or no potential negative environmental impact related to their construction. Prior to granting its approval of the project plan, the Agency (IEPA) requires that applicants publish a public notice that the Agency has issued a Notice of Intent to Issue a Categorial Exclusion for a 10-day comment period. During the comment period, written comments may be provided to the applicant (SDD) or directly to the IEPA.
